1. Introduction

Face Battle Studios ("we", "our", "us") operates the Face Battle mobile game. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you register, we collect: email address, username, and encrypted password. We also store your selected continent for matchmaking purposes.

2.2 Gameplay Data

We collect match results, points balance, purchase history, and gameplay statistics to operate the Game.

2.3 Device Information

We may collect device model, operating system version, IP address, and unique device identifiers for security and analytics.

2.4 Photos for AI Avatar Generation

IMPORTANT — AI Data Handling: Our Game offers an optional feature that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to transform user-submitted photos (selfies) into anime-style 2D avatars for in-game use.

• Consent: Photos are submitted voluntarily by the user. By uploading a photo, you explicitly consent to AI processing of that image.
• Processing: Submitted photos are sent to a third-party AI service (Replicate, Inc.) for image-to-image transformation. The AI model generates a stylized anime illustration based on the facial features in the photo.
• Storage: Original uploaded photos are stored temporarily on our secure servers for processing and are automatically deleted within 30 days of upload. The AI-generated avatar (the output) is stored as long as your account is active.
• No Facial Recognition: We do NOT use submitted photos for facial recognition, biometric identification, or any purpose other than generating the in-game avatar you requested.
• No Training: Your photos are NOT used to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI models. They are processed on a per-request basis only.
• Third-Party Processing: Replicate, Inc. processes images per their privacy policy. Images are processed ephemerally and not retained by Replicate after generation is complete.
• Deletion: You can delete your AI-generated avatar at any time from the Character Customization screen. You may also request complete deletion of all your uploaded photos by contacting support@facebattle.app.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate and maintain your account and the Game
• To process in-game purchases and transactions
• To match you with players in your geographic region
• To generate AI avatars as described in Section 2.4
• To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse
• To improve game performance and fix bugs
• To communicate important updates about the Game

4. Advertising

Free (non-VIP) users see advertisements served by Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers and usage data for personalized advertising per Google’s Privacy Policy. VIP users do not see ads and no ad-related data is collected for them.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Replicate, Inc. — for AI avatar processing (photos only, ephemeral)
• Google AdMob — for serving advertisements (non-VIP users)
• Payment processors (Google Play Billing, Stripe, PayPal) — for purchase transactions
• Law enforcement — when required by law or to protect safety

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS/SSL), hashed passwords (bcrypt), and access-controlled servers. However, no system is 100% secure.

7. Data Retention

• Account data: retained while your account is active, deleted within 90 days of account deletion
• Original uploaded photos: deleted within 30 days of upload
• AI-generated avatars: retained until you delete them or delete your account
• Transaction logs: retained for 7 years for legal/financial compliance

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for AI photo processing
• Object to data processing for marketing purposes

9. Children’s Privacy

The Game is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover such data, we will delete it immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes through the Game or via email.
